Kate Ryan - Babacar

Lange war es Still um Kate Ryan, doch nun ist sie wieder mit einem Song am Start. Babacar heißt das Stück. Sehr elektrolastig und die Melodie kommt einen irgendwie auch seltsam bekannt vor. Aber wenn man sich davon freimachen kann ist es ein solider Song, der in den Discos und Charts wahrscheinlich seinen Platz finden wird.
Optisch ist das Video zumindest ein echter Hingucker ;)

Auf ein neues Album darf man sich wohl dieses Jahr noch freuen. Termin steht aber noch nicht fest.

Marquess - Arriba

Auch wenn das Wetter noch nicht so wirklich sommerlich ist, so ist doch zumindest die Musik auf dem direkten Weg Richtung gute Laune und Sommer. Und mit den bekannten spanischen Gitarrenklängen sind auch Marquess mit dem Song "Arriba" ganz vorne mit dabei. Der Rythmus nimmt einen sofort mit und lädt zum Tanzen ein. Und gute Laune ist auch garantiert. So kann es weiter gehen. Das Lied wird man auf jeden Fall noch das ein oder andere mal diesen Sommer hören :)

Wer weiß, ob wir hier den Sommerhit 2009 vor Augen und Ohren haben...

Arriba wird die erste Singleauskoplung aus dem neuen Album "Compañía del Sol" sein.
Die Single soll am 26.06.2009 veröffentlicht werden. Das Album folgt dann am 10.07.2009

Cascada - Evacuate The Dancefloor

Wenn es eine Band gibt, die sich über die Jahre wirklich absolut treu geblieben ist, dann ist Cascada ganz eindeutig dazu zu zählen. Nachdem einmal ein erfolgreiches Format der Musik gefunden wurde ist daran auch nichts mehr geändert worden. Warum auch, es klappt ja ;)
Hier gibt es nun das neue Video zur aktuellen Single "Evacuate the dancefloor" aus dem gleichnamigen Album. Unter Umständen könnte es ein Hit des kommenden Sommers werden.

Sean Paul - So Fine

Der König des Jamaika-Dancehalls ist wieder da. Sean (da) Paul wird dieses Jahr ein neues Album mit dem Namen "Imperial Blaze" auf den Markt bringen. Und die erste Single wird der Song "So Fine" sein. Wenn man reinhört ist es, als hätte Sean Paul nie eine Pause gemacht und beständig Lieder produziert. Das spricht für Ihn. Er ist sich treu begleieben und hält an seinem Konzept beständig fest. Weiter so ;)

Das Album soll, laut ersten Meldungen, im August in die Läden kommen.

Green Day, die unkaputtbaren PunkRocker der ersten Stunde sind mit neuer Single und neuem Album zurück. Die Langspielerscheibe heißt "21st Century Breakdown" und die erste Spingle trägt den Namen "Know your Enemy". Der ein oder andere hätte vielleicht etwas mehr erwartet, so richtig auf die 12 geht der Track nicht, man wurde schon mal deutlicher umgehauen... Aber vielleicht kommt ja noch ein richtiger Burner in absehbarer Zeit.

Flipsyde - When It was good

Im Jahr 2005 fing die Erfolgsstory von Flipsyde an. Jetzt legen die HipHopper nach. Neue Single und neues Album stehen in den Startlöchern. Die aktuelle Single "When it was good" ist bereits zu hören ( erscheint offiziell am 17 April )und zeigt, dass die Jungs nichts verlernt haben. Das dazugehörige Album "State Of Survival" kommt dann im Mai in die Läden.

Papa Roach - Lifeline

Gute 3 Jahre mussten Fans von Papa Roach auf ein neues Album warten. Nun ist es mit "Metamorphosis" endlich soweit. Und aus diesem Album kommt hier der Track "Lifeline".
Die Nu-Metaller aus Kalifornien haben sich musikalisch ein wenig mehr dem Mainstream angepasst und auch das äußere Erscheinungsbild geht vom Metal eher in den EMO style über. Das gefällt alten Anhängern nicht immer. Aber der Erfolg wird es rechtfertigen würde ich sagen ;)

Flo Rida feat Kesha - Right Round

Wenn man in die US-Charts guckt kommt man an Flo Ride grade einfach nicht herum. Sowohl die Hot Charts als auch die Digital-Charts sind fest in seiner Hand. Geschafft hat er es mit dem Song "Right Round", der ersten Singleauskopplung aus seinem neuen Album "R.O.O.T.S."(Routes of Overcoming the Struggle) . Unterstützung im Refrain erhielt er dabei von der Sängerin Kesha ( die sich unheimlich wie Kate Perry anhört! ).

Wer sich fragt wo er die Melodie oder das original Lied schonmal gehört hat, der sein an dieser Stelle an die Band "Dead or Alive" mit ihrem Hit "You spin me round" aus dem Jahre 1985 erinnert.

Jeanette - Bad Girls Club

Nach dem ersten Ausflug in die Glamour-Disco-Welt kriegen wir nun von Jeanette eine Kostprobe ihrer Rockerfähigkeiten. Mit dem kraftvollen und fetzigen Song "Bad Girls Club", die zweite Singleauskopplung aus dem neuen Album "Undress to the Beat" ( in den Läden ab 6. Der Doktor des HipHop bringt zusammen mit T.I. und Nas neuen Stoff unters Volk. Der Track "Topless" kommt von dem neuen Album "Detox". Ein sehr krasser ( aber irgendwie doch gechillter ) Beat, und sehr gut vorgetragene Lyrics machen das Ganze zu einer sehr runden Sache.

Black Eyed Pead - Boom Boom Pow

Lange war es still um die schwarzäugigen Erbsen, aber das warten hat nun ein Ende. Mit der Single "Boom boom pow" wird das erste Lied und potentielle Hit aus dem neuen Album "the E.N.D" welches am 6. Juni in die Läden kommen soll. Der Titel ist eine Abkürzung und steht für "the Energy never Dies"... Musikinteressierte werden bei solchen Spielchen wohl auch schnell an den Bandnamen N.E.R.D von Pharell Williams denken, deren Abkürzung lautet "No One Ever Really Dies"
Wer weiß ob etwas hinter diesen "Gemeinsamkeiten" steckt oder nicht.
Die Single "boom boom pow" ist nicht so wirklich eingängig und partytauglich wie andere Werke der Peas. Durch den Einsatz von Computerelementen und Stimmverzerrern ( bekannt aus Kanye West Songs ) erinnert es an manchen Stellen doch teilweise stark an Mr. West.
Und auch die Meinungen bei Youtube und anderen Foren sind durchaus gespalten in Hinsicht auf dieses Werk...
Aber wie oft hat man sich schon bei einem vermeintlich schlechten Song getäuscht...
Am besten Abwarten und sehen wie es sich entwickelt.

Ein erfolgversprechendes Duett: RnB Sängerin Ciara hat sich für Ihre neue Single “Love and Sex and Magic” Justin Timberlake als Verstärkung ins Boot geholt. Es kann im Grunde nichts mehr schief gehen und ein hohes Einsteigen in den Charts ist gut möglich… Der Track wird die erste Auskopplung aus dem neuen Album „Fantasy Ride“ sein. Veröffentlichungstermin ist der 7. April 2009.

The Maccabees – No kind word

The Maccabees, ihres Zeichen Indie Rocker aus Brighton, zeigen sich spendabel und stellen auf ihrer Homepage die erste Singleauskopplung ihres brandneuen(zweiten) Albums „Wall of arms“. Der Song heißt „No kind word“ und klingt verdammt gut. Geht quasi direkt ins Ohr und bleibt dort auch erstmal hängen. Das Video ist ein wenig „strange“ wirkt wie eine Mischung aus Clockwork Orange und 80er Jahre Computerspielgraphik... Aber es hat auch was;)

Myron - one step closer

Poprock aus der Schweiz. Das klingt auf den ersten Blick wenig spektakulär. Aber wenn man sich aber das Duo "Myron" aus Basel einmal angehört hat, weiß man, warum sich um diese beiden Herren eine stetig wachsende Fangemeinde entwickelt. Das mittlerweile 2. Album trägt den gleichen Titel wie die erste Singleauskopplung aus eben diesem: "One step closer". Ein sehr schönes und eingängiges Stück.
Drücken wir die Daumen, dass es für Myron weiter nach oben geht. Wer so gute Musik abliefert hat es definitiv verdient, Erfolg zu haben.

Mandy Moore - I could break your heart any day of the week

Es gibt einen neuen Song von Mandy Moore. Aus dem noch nicht erschienenen Album "Amanda Leigh" wird als erstes die Singel "I could break your Heart any day of the week" in die Läden kommen.
Wie die Single, so wird auch das komplette Album ( erscheint Ende Mai ) sich mit Erlebnissen und Einsichten über ihr Leben und die Liebe auseinandersetzen. Es dürfte daher etwas sehr persönliches werden und man kommt der Sängerin und Schauspielerin so ein wenig näher.
