Kate Ryan - Babacar

Lange war es Still um Kate Ryan, doch nun ist sie wieder mit einem Song am Start. Babacar heißt das Stück. Sehr elektrolastig und die Melodie kommt einen irgendwie auch seltsam bekannt vor. Aber wenn man sich davon freimachen kann ist es ein solider Song, der in den Discos und Charts wahrscheinlich seinen Platz finden wird.
Optisch ist das Video zumindest ein echter Hingucker ;)

Auf ein neues Album darf man sich wohl dieses Jahr noch freuen. Termin steht aber noch nicht fest.

Britney Spears - Radar

Britney Spears steht mit der nächsten - aktuell vierten - Singleauskopplung von ihrem überaus erfolgreichem Album "Circus" in den Startlöchern. "Radar" heißt der neue Song schlicht und einfach. Und es versteckt sich dahinter ein, wenn man so will, typischer Spears Popsong. Das Stimme verzerren zieht sich ja nun schon durch ein paar Lieder des ehemaligen Popsternchens. Ob es zum dicken Hit reicht muss man abwarten. Der ganz große Kracher ist beim ersten mal Hören nicht gleich zu erkennen. Aber das muss ja auch nichts heißen;)

Cascada - Evacuate The Dancefloor

Wenn es eine Band gibt, die sich über die Jahre wirklich absolut treu geblieben ist, dann ist Cascada ganz eindeutig dazu zu zählen. Nachdem einmal ein erfolgreiches Format der Musik gefunden wurde ist daran auch nichts mehr geändert worden. Warum auch, es klappt ja ;)
Hier gibt es nun das neue Video zur aktuellen Single "Evacuate the dancefloor" aus dem gleichnamigen Album. Unter Umständen könnte es ein Hit des kommenden Sommers werden.

Jeanette - Material Boy (don't look back)

Frau Biedermann auf den Spuren von Madonna? Man könnte es allein vom Titel schonmal vermuten, denn "Material Boy", so der Name der nächsten Single aus ihrem Album "Undress to the Beat" ist im Grunde nur die Umkehrung des Material Girl von der Queen of Pop. Ein Bild sollte man sich am besten selber davon machen. Madonna hört man nicht direkt raus, aber es gibt zumindest kleine Ähnlichkeiten zu Monrose. Aber das kann auch nur bei mir so sein ;) Auf jeden Fall wirkt der ganze Song schon eine ganze Spur härter als was man sonst so von Jeanette gehört hat.

Sean Paul - So Fine

Der König des Jamaika-Dancehalls ist wieder da. Sean (da) Paul wird dieses Jahr ein neues Album mit dem Namen "Imperial Blaze" auf den Markt bringen. Und die erste Single wird der Song "So Fine" sein. Wenn man reinhört ist es, als hätte Sean Paul nie eine Pause gemacht und beständig Lieder produziert. Das spricht für Ihn. Er ist sich treu begleieben und hält an seinem Konzept beständig fest. Weiter so ;)

Das Album soll, laut ersten Meldungen, im August in die Läden kommen.

Er ist wieder da. Und hat sich nicht verändert. Der beste weiße Rapper aller Zeiten, Eminem, macht wieder von sich reden. Das aktuelle Album "Relaps" ist schon eine Weile auf dem Markt und nach der ersten Single "Crack a bottle" kommt nun mit "3 AM" der zweite Streich. Direkt und schnörkellos kommt dieser Track daher. Green Day, die unkaputtbaren PunkRocker der ersten Stunde sind mit neuer Single und neuem Album zurück. Die Langspielerscheibe heißt "21st Century Breakdown" und die erste Spingle trägt den Namen "Know your Enemy". Der ein oder andere hätte vielleicht etwas mehr erwartet, so richtig auf die 12 geht der Track nicht, man wurde schon mal deutlicher umgehauen... Im Jahr 2005 fing die Erfolgsstory von Flipsyde an. Jetzt legen die HipHopper nach. Neue Single und neues Album stehen in den Startlöchern. Die aktuelle Single "When it was good" ist bereits zu hören ( erscheint offiziell am 17 April )und zeigt, dass die Jungs nichts verlernt haben. Das dazugehörige Album "State Of Survival" kommt dann im Mai in die Läden.

Farin Urlaub Racing Team - Krieg

Um die Ärzte ist es aktuell ruhig geworden, dafür macht aber der Frontmann Farin Urlaub wieder von sich reden. Mit seinem Racing Team hat er eine neue Single produziert und ein Video abgedreht. In dem Lied "Krieg" wird mal wieder die Gesellschaft als solches thematisiert. Dieses Talent hat der Gute ja einfach, die alltäglichen Dinge des Lebens in einen Songtext zu verpacken. Noch nicht im Handel erhältlich, aber hier schonmal zum Reinhören. Die nächste Single von Mando Dia wird "Gloria heißen und trumpft mit einem fantastischen Refrain auf. Voller Energie und ideal zum mitsingen. Damit dürfte die Erfolgsstory des ALbums "Give me fire" im Jahre 2009 weitergehen.

Der Rocker aus den USA Gavin DeGraw schlägt hier etwas leisere Töne an. Mit der neuen Single "Stay" aus dem bald erscheinenden neuen Album "Free" kommt er einfach nur mit seiner Stimme und einem Klavier um die Ecke. Und das klingt dann auch noch richtig gut. Einmal mehr der Beweis, dass es nicht immer nur laut sein muss.

Take That - the garden

Bevor Robbie Williams wieder zu der Truppe stößt wird nochmal schnell eine neue Single von Take That unters Volk gebracht. Die Scheibe heißt "the garden" und kommt wie gewohnt ruhig, melodisch und friedlich um die Ecke. Unterlegt wird das ganze dann noch mit einem klassischen schwarz-weiß Video und schon hat man einen weiteren Hit unterwegs.

Keri Hilson ft. Kanye West & Ne-Yo - Knock You Down

Das Hinzuziehen von prominenter Unterstützung ist ja ein alter Hut. Aber es funktioniert einfach zu gut ;) Und deshalb hat nun auch Keri Hilson sich Hilfe für ihren Song "Knock you down" von Rapstar "Kanye West" sowie RnB-Burner "Ne-Yo" geholt.
Allein die Namen klingen schon nach Hit und Nummer 1 Platzierung. Und es wird wohl auch so kommen, dass die vierte Singeauskopplung aus dem Album "In a perfect world" hoch in den Charts landen wird.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Zero

Rock aus dem Big Apple. Dafür stehen die "Yeah Yeah Yeahs". Mit der Singleauskopplung "Zero" bringen sie nach 3 Jahren Pause wieder einen Song raus. Und der geht wirklich gut ab. Trotz der Rock-Elemente wie einem deftigen Schlagzeug und ordentlich Gitarrenklägen wirkt das ganze sehr melodisch und geht ohne Umwege direkt ins Ohr.
Man darf gespannt sein, ob dieser Single auch bald ein neues Album folgen wird oder nicht. Aber bis es in diesem Punkt Klarheit gibt kann man sich ja auch einfach "Zero" bis zum Umfallen anhören;)

Sie scheint die Kurve wirklich gekriegt und die Seuchenzeit überwunden zu haben. Britney Spears legt mit dem Song "If you seek Amy" nach. Es wird ohne Pause dort weitergemacht, wo das gelungene Comeback durch "Circus" aufgehört hatte. Auch dieses Lied ist die Art Popmusik, wie man sie von Frau Spears kennt und die Ihre Fans so mögen.
Man kann da nur sagen: Weiter so ;)

P.S. Ein kleines Schmankerl versteckt sich hinter dem Titel. Wenn man If you seek Amy schnell ausspricht, ergibt sich eine gänzlich andere Bedeutung...

Deichkind - Luftbahn

Es gibt ein neues Video von Deichkind. Aber unter den gegebenen Umständen ( der plötzliche Tod von Produzent Sebastian Hackert im jungen Alter von 32 Jahren ) steht jedoch nicht der Erfolg der Platte im Vordergrund, sondern die bewältigung dieses tragischen Schicksalschlages. Der Song ist sehr ruhig und entspannt gehalten, angenehm zu hören.

Der Doktor des HipHop bringt zusammen mit T.I. und Nas neuen Stoff unters Volk. Der Track "Topless" kommt von dem neuen Album "Detox". Ein sehr krasser ( aber irgendwie doch gechillter ) Beat, und sehr gut vorgetragene Lyrics machen das Ganze zu einer sehr runden Sache.
